ABOUT US

About Us

Children are at the heart of what we do, and we regularly involve young people and professionals to develop new ideas and share good practices.

PROVIDING THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF CARE FOR OUR YOUNG PEOPLE

Supreme Start Care is a residential provider for children and young people based in Oldham. We provide care and support to young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. We are committed to provide bespoke and individualised care to each child and young person.

Children are at the heart of what we do. We ensure that young people’s views are taken into account in all elements of their care. We also welcome the involvement and views of those individuals who are significant to each child in the planning of their care. We consult with young people, parents, social workers and other professionals to ensure that best practice is achieved in all areas.

Supreme Start Care believe all young people are equipped with the opportunity to develop, grow and build independence skills to enable them to reach their full potential. We are passionate about making positive changes to young people’s lives  by providing a safe environment which enables young people to build lasting positive relationships which will enable them to flourish.

Children and young people will be deemed suitable to reside together following completion of a comprehensive compatibility risk assessment. We will focus on securing the development of complex children who have challenged services previously.

Enquiries are made into the religious and cultural background of each child/young person as part of planning their admission into the home.  We aim to provide each child/young person, as far as practicable, an opportunity to attend such religious or cultural needs and preferences. In order to support the individual appropriately, the staff team will seek out advice, knowledge and support from the relevant religious or cultural centres and authorities as are necessary.

OUR VALUES

Courage – We challenge ourselves and are never complacent.  We never give up  on a child and learn from all challenges we may face to enure the best level of care for the child.

Trust – We believe in each other and work as a team. We believe trust is a primary building block which allows our communities to develop foundations that are strong enough to face each day.

Understanding – We believe in tolerance and forgiveness and that young people should not be defined by their past, but by their future.

Transparency – We are painfully open – always – because a willingness to be challenged helps us all to grow, become wiser and make better choices.

Community – We exist within the same shared space, share the same values and benefit from the strength we have together. We are all responsible for the present and together we must protect and develop our community, both for this generation and the next.
